PA Perfect Cost Grid® enables you to calculate product costs using a huge reference database for machine, material, process, overhead, logistics and country-specific costs. While the Perfect Cost Grid® was developed over many years, we transferred it to a cloud-based platform to allow quick and efficient updates. Through this platform, we can create new functions for individual users – such as specific analysis or display features – without them needing to install new software.

The PA Perfect Cost Grid® stores and manages reference data for over 60 countries, 200 regions, 3,000 machines and 4,000 materials – all of which are updated on an annual basis. These data and calculations are centrally managed and enable real-time access. Users can also access existing calculations and reference data for their company – enabling efficient and effective generation of new calculations – by logging on with their personal login credentials. This allows them to build up their own knowledge base for calculations and component costs as a template for new calculations.

For all reference data and calculations, you may select to use an approval process that enables full control of your data. The reference data section shows all your own reference data as well as that provided by PA Perfect Cost Grid®. Starting from a central point, you can therefore manage all reference data and explore, approve or add data from overhead and logistics as well as machine groups and consumables, through to material categories and country data.
You can also add documents and files to each calculation, specifying the product or component, such as a drawing for the bumper front shell. The landing page delivers a quick overview and cost summary based on volumes, lifetime, raw materials, and processes. This calculation, at a glance, leads to more detailed pages that manage relevant data, for example, the list of raw materials used. And, on these pages, it is possible to add new materials, processes, subassemblies or even complete calculations by exploring and importing your existing data.
