The Benchmarking Factory is a dedicated facility running initiatives for PA Perfect Cost Grid® and its clients. Less than one year after founding the venture company its benchmarking team moved to a new and larger site in Schwäbisch Gmünd, Southern Germany – within one hour driving distance from Stuttgart it is very close to some of the major German automotive companies.
The facility is large enough to simultaneously handle multiple teardowns of entire vehicles including decomposition and calculation activities, exploring technical and commercial solutions against competitors. At the moment the team is decomposing three van models of Peugeot, Daimler and Dacia.
PA Perfect Cost Grid® – the first web-based benchmarking and cost-engineering platform for the automotive industry – gives your purchasing, cost engineering and development staff timely online access to the costing and benchmarking results they need to develop competitively priced vehicles, achieve significant savings in product costs and minimise investment.
The Benchmarking Factory, now with space of more than 1,000 square metres open for customers’ usage also, is capable of offering the following features;
The PA Perfect Cost Grid® is informed by PA’s extensive experience in the automotive sector. We have worked with leading global car makers and suppliers – including Fiat, Inalfa and Magna – alongside all segments, systems, cost drivers, and programme phases, helping them save hundreds of million of euros in shortest possible time.
